BARNABAS REVIEW: VADO STILL HAS NO BAD SONG.
One thing is sure, one thing is certain, Kizz Daniel has not missed on any of his project. Although, his last LP, King Of Love, is said to be boring by social media users which this writer finds false. Kizz Daniel is one of the regular artiste that comes through with their music, he never disappoints. Just when you think that’s the end, he comes back with another strong tune, but in this case, tunes. Kizz Daniel is just a person you can’t write off.
On his latest project named ‘Barnabas’, a seven track project which contains lots of interesting tunes. Pour Me Water is a track that talks about a toxic and confused love relationship that keeps getting worse. He released all of his emotions on this and was ready to let the girl go. Addict is a mid tempo tune and like the name implies sees Kizz Daniel talking about his addiction to drugs and how he plans to stop but finds it so interesting. Eh God (Barnabas),the gbedu on the album, you just can’t hate this song. It’s just about him talking to God in a joking manner asking for a favour. The production on this is exceptional, there’s just something I like about the beat, and Kizz didn’t disappoint to bless it with his lyrics. In my opinion, a potential jam for Christmas on our hands.
Oshe featuring highlife artists The Cavemen is another jam off the album. In this track, Kizz Daniel finally found the love he was looking for after the heartbreak on Pour Me Water, he promises to do anything for this love even to the extent of taking her on an international holiday. He wants to keep a hold of this new love. Also, he promises to trouble y’alls timeline with pictures of his new found love. The additional vocals from The Cavemen makes it more thrilling. Burn is a lovesong that is written in a Kizz Daniel way. He promises to be with his love till his old times and he doesn’t want anyone else. Lie, pre released before the album and its doing numbers and charting in every local charts right now. It makes the project more lively. Skin featuring German rapper Kelvyn Colt, this track sees Kizz Daniel praising his love, praising her skin colour and declaring her perfect.
Again, Kizz Daniel dropped a project and he still didn’t miss. The Barnabas album contains great tunes that suits every mood. Well done Vado, he got this one spot on yet again !
